Aerials are a beautiful, creative, and challenging art form that almost anyone can learn. Besides having the most fun ever, you will build incredible upper body and core strength, confidence and coordination. That being said, the more you can get in shape before doing aerials the better! The learning curve will be much better if so. Not a requirement, just merely a suggestion. NOTE, we are pretty much a beginner/intermediate Aerial Gym. Advanced/Expert aerialists are welcome to join in, but it’s going back to the basics for you for the time being (which is NEVER a bad idea in my eyes!). Reach out with any questions!
CLASSES ARE SUBJECT TO CANCELLATION IF NOT ENOUGH ATTENDANCE!! All my classes and open gyms unless otherwise noted are for ages 14+ and up (adults) and are 75 minutes, and are $20. Younger youth can do private or semi private. You will have to reserve your spot for a class by texting me preferably day before, but day of is ok too! I strongly suggest being on time to class, as being late is disruptive, and frankly not very “safe” or fair to the rest of the class. Doors will open 10 minutes prior for you to get ready. Get your money’s worth. Show up on time! May lock doors at start of class to discourage lateness.
WHAT DO I WEAR? You will want to wear form fitting clothing that covers the back of the knees and a shirt that has sleeves as to eliminate fabric “burn” that can occur on body if not careful. No baggy clothes as those can get caught in the fabric or not want to stay in place. DRESS CODE, less skin more coverage please. Thank you AND no jewelry, zippers, or anything else that may snag the fabric. Long hair tied securely.
WHAT DO I BRING? A clean body! Wash those hands and feet and armpits if necessary, 😉 BRING your own hand towel to do this here as well, before class. (I will have towels for sale $3 if you forget). Also highly recommended is a notepad and pen, resin is encouraged and for sale ($20) when available, water with tight fitting lid, video recording device. A sense of adventure!
OK!!! LET’S NOW TALK ABOUT THE DIFFERENT KINDS OF CLASSES! BE SURE TO CHECK THE SCHEDULE AS THESE CAN CHANGE FROM TIME TO TIME!!!
*MIX LEVEL CLASSES… If you do not like the wide variety of levels of students, then I encourage you to do a private. Or grab a friend to do a semi-private which costs about the same as a class. Absolute beginners need to talk/call me first to reserve. THANKS!
*BEGINNING… This is for folks in the beginning stages. Or those still struggling with strength and need to keep building. Don’t worry, we do things super low to the ground. But at the same time have a fun! Call/text to book! PS, more experience folks can jump in these as well if it’s the only day/time that works for you. Who knows, you may learn a thing or two! At least you’ll be getting your feet off the ground and maintaining some strength.
*LEVEL 1… Those working towards Level 2 status. You have been to some beginning classes and have a good knowledge of climbing, footlocks, simpler wraps and are getting stronger! Beginning students, ask your instructor if you are ready to move to this level. Let’s now get you to Level 2 by continuing to improve strength and knowledge and having fun all along the way!
*LEVEL 2… these are for the more committed students who are able to invert and lower with control, can do either pull ups/downs in a control fashion, and are able to do an knee up hold, and some other things. We will be working on more advanced/complex moves. They will have to know how to climb and also be suspended in air for longer periods of time.
*OPEN GYM… Open only to current students (some exceptions allowed to traveling EXPERIENCED aerialists). These are supervised sessions but not a formal teaching class. Gives students the opportunity to practice moves they learned in class. Repetition is key to aerials!! THERE WILL BE RULES to open gym that we will go over. Any violation of them will be probation. Safety is #1 priority!
*PRIVATE and SEMI-PRIVATE CLASSES
Still can’t get enough? Or do you want to work on something specific? Or schedule restraints? This is a excellent way to improve your skills. You can train one-on-one with an instructor, or grab a couple of like-minded friends to do a semi-private class.
Private Class is $60.00 hour.
Semi-Private Classes are $50.00 per hour for 2. (3 or more folks $20 each). I’m will do my best to work with YOUR schedule.
*STRETCH & MASSAGE… This is my NOT a Yoga class. Looking for something a little different? We will use the fabric and other “tools” to help relieve tightness and tension. Let my years of a LMT knowledge come into play here and even discuss the issues.
